All the previous reviews praising this score echo my feelings about this music. It is simply stunning. And although it works beautifully within the film, by itself it renders an amazing listening experience. Stirring anthems, poignant themes and a Latin hymn that is bold and memorable balance out Mr. Doyle's effort. High praise is deserved here, indeed. Highly recommended for lovers of the old, classical film scores like Ben Hur, El Cid and such epics because Mr Doyle captures that essence with this score. And while I love Mr. Doyle's other film music (Hamlet, Sense and Sensibility, etc), this score is my favorite of his.

Regardless of whether you liked the film, the is one of the great orchestral soundtracks of all time. You won't regret buying this one.

One of Patrick Doyles Masterpeices. You may find the music familar since it is used at inauguration ceremonies and other movie soundtracks.

This movie score is a musical masterpiece. Some of music is compelling, while some of it is just plain beautiful. The orchestration is perfect and utilizes all the instruments in many special ways. This music will never grow old.

Years ago I caught "Henry V" on television and was blown away by the entire presentation, but what moved me most was the "Non Nobis Domine" hymn after the Battle of Agincourt. It stayed with me thru the years and when my wife and I were helping my daughter to plan her wedding in 2006, I mentioned the score. Neither had seen the movie, so I bought the soundtrack, and they were brought to tears...and neither had even seen the movie to fully understand it's impact!!!.. .
Needless to say, the hymn was used for the main entrance theme for the bridesmaids and my daughter and was sung by a 40 member boy's choir...this score has to be the most moving composition I have ever heard...this CD is a must!
